The NYC Vampire Ball edition 14.1 entitled “The Dragon Masque” will be held on Sunday, May 9th for the shooting of a pilot for a documentary series on fangsmiths.

WHO?

Hosted by Father Sebastiaan and Victor Magnus with DJs Aengel, Xris SMack! and V.Christ will be spinning of course a belly dance performance by Jeniviva’s Mystical Hips and musical installation by Kayvon Zand.

WHAT?

The Vampire Ball “Dragon Masque” is being filmed for a special documentary and this is a special event for the show so that it does not intrude on the normal activities of the Gotham underground.  We are asking all patrons to wear masques for the purposes of anonymity and inclusion of people who would like to participate but not compromise their day lives. Also proudly wear your fangs if you have them.

This event will take place in the VAULT at Element NYC, 225 E. Houston St. NYC.

GOT FANGS?

Father Sebastiaan of SABRETOOTH will be making fangs at the FangShop NYC (at Halloween Adventure) on Saturday May 8th and 9th by appointment only.  Please send him an email at father@sabretooth.com to make your reservation.   The NYC FangShop is located in the Halloween Adventure, 104 4th Avenue, New York NY 10003.

DRESS CODE:

All participants must be in proper “courtly attire” (standard Vampire Ball dress code) for the event and you will need to sign a photo release at the door. This is mainly historical, steam punk, fetish, gothic, masquerade, costumes, burlesque and black tie.

You must be properly dressed or you will be denied entrance and admission is absolutely FREE! The Ball is 21+ with proper ID of course. Our goal is to make this even look like the Ball in Labyrinth mixed with the club in the Matrix.

WELCOME to the official webpage of the the Vampire Ball of New York!  This  is one of the longest running events of its type in the world.  Started in 1996 at the original Bank nightclub and now celebrating the 14th year of this event, the NYC Vampire Ball commences the countdown to the Endless Night Festival in New Orleans on October 30th, 2010. This event served as the first ever vampire / Vampyre themed event on the East Coast and is featured in Katherine Ramsland’s book Piercing the Darkness.

The New York Vampire Ball has been held at legendary venues such as Limelight, MOTHER, Coney Island High and the Bank (the original name of Element) and since 2006 has returned to its original home of Element NYC, located at 225 E. Houston St. NYC.  This amazing three floor completely renovated venue has an amazing sound system and great dungeon space in the basement called the Vault.

Tickets are $15 in advance via our secure server via Paypal on January 15th, 2010 and will be available at Gothic Ren at 104 4th Avenue on Feb. 1st, 2010.  Door tickets (if there are any left) will be $20 in dresscode and $30 out of dresscode.

There are a limited number of tickets so please get them in advance, we are having an unbelievable response to this event and have to limit the attendance to 999 patrons, so we are confident this event will SELL OUT!

~ Where to Stay?

Many have asked “I am coming from out of town and need a place to stay.” We suggest the St. Marks Hotel, right on St. Marks and 3rd Avenue, about 10 blocks from the club right in the East Village.  They are clean, central and only take cash and rooms run between $110 (including taxes) to $140 for upto four people.  This is our best suggestion and is a tried and true way of coming to NYC affordably.

~ Photo Policy, Press Passes and Media

The New York Vampire Ball is a private event and we are NOT seeking sensationalism or mainstream publicity.  This is a “private family gathering” and there will be a limited number of press passes available on a case by case basis in advance.  Please DO NOT bring professional cameras or video equipment or camcorders, these will not be allowed in to the event!  ONLY those with legitimate and pre-approved press passes will be allowed to make video or photography within the event.  We have our own professional camera crew and photographers which will be in the party who understands and respects our policies.

Any “scene photographers” who wish to bring in their cameras can be approved in advance and willing to provide us copies within 24 hours (the digital age is here) after the event are welcome to apply .

Father Sebastiaan of SABRETOOTH™ is going to be making fangs at our studio in the Halloween Adventure Shop at 104 4th Avenue, New York City for a special engagement October 5th-30th.

If you would like to schedule an appointment this is now done with our online scheduling system and is the only option for credit card pre-payment.  The last week before Halloween the 25th-30th you can avoid a $40 on the spot charge.  This allows us to coordinate effectively an insanely heavy schedule due to the popularity of our products.

The theme for this evening will be Masques & Shibari to give a unique Eyes Wide Shut style event.

In the Dungeon Noir DJs TESS & EuroShima (Alien Nation) will be spinning electro-trance on the main floor with a fashion show by MonsterLune , shibari mistress Berenice will be presenting Sokubaku bondage all evening and Sir Maxi will be hosting the first Lutetia Slave Auction.

In the lower Vampyre Sanctum DJs Yannik (of Electro-Chok) and Fred Black Dog will be spinning electo, rock and goth all evening. Mistress Luo will be presenting an installation of the Shibari Pyramid for all of your naughty pleasures.

There will be a strict fetish, gothic, steam punk, medieval and masquerade dress code enforced. Admission is €15 Euros in dress code, €10 for TG ticket holders and SABRETOOTH fang clients.
